In a bizarre collaboration that defies conventional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Revealed
According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome changes resonate through the obscurity." The plot features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret cult.
The mission centers on "strange trials and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who finish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana together with multiple items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Addition
This update also adds the game's third no-cost story content, titled "The Mystery."
